When we originally booked this flight from Kuala Lumpur to Singpoare, it was operated by Singapore Airlines using their regional two class 777s. However, it appeared the Singapore Airlines reduced their frequencies, and let SilkAir took on some of their flights.

Although the service on SilkAir is a downgrade from Singapore Airlines, we decided to go ahead with the change in order to sample the service on Silk Air.

Kuala Lumpur's airport is nicely organized, and we quickly located the Silk Air check-in counter.
Our boarding passes were printed on Singapore Airlines stock. Unfortunately, only the last row (row 4) is available for us in the Business class cabin.
Similar to a few other airports in Asis, there is a additional security check before entering the waiting area for our flight.
Our flight is on a Saturday, and it does not appear to be very full.
As soon as our plane arrives, the ramp workers immediately opened the cargo bay door even before the jetbridge is connected.
As soon as Business class is boarded, general boarding commences.
Pre-departure drinks are served to Business class passengers. The flight attendants uniformed are much more mundane when comparing with the Singapore Girl's Sarongs.
Newspapers are passed out once boarding is complete.
Pre-departure drinks are served in real glasses.
This Airbus A320 is configured with four rows of Business Class, with about the same pitch as US domestic First Class, and a far cry from Singapore Airlines' 777 that we were originally booked on.
The first row bulkhead are equipped with bassinet attachment points.
Pillows and blankets are available on this short flight of only about an hour.
